Wine Cork Initial

I saw these Wine Cork Initials floating around on Etsy and Pinterest and really liked the look and the idea.  I also had a ton of wine corks (collected from over many years and many people!).

I purchased a wooden letter at JoAnn's and simply added corks and hot glue.  All of my corks are not the same height, hence for some dimension in the letter, but I really like it that way.

I also spray painted my letter off white before I started gluing.  I think this helps disguise the wooden part and makes the corks more noticeable.

The letter was flat wood on the back with no hanging hardware, so I made my own.  I can't remember where I first saw this idea, but it's so genius!  I opened a can of V8 juice from the fridge and pulled the tab off.  Added some hot glue and let it get really dry since it will be holding weight.

Hang and enjoy!

Initials and words are so popular in decorating now!  I see these letters in all sizes and all types of paper, cardboard and wood.

How have you incorporated letters into your decorating?  I'd love to see!  Leave me a link in the comments!

Love this! Now I know what to do with my collection of wine cork. Thank you for the idea.
