1. PaperbackSwap. I first posted about this here, but I can't say enough about this site! I've been able to receive several sewing and craft books over the years for free!
2. Pinterest. It's no doubt that pinterest is addicting, and I shamelessly admit my addiction. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was planning a Very Hungry Caterpillar birthday party for my daughter. Well, wouldn't you know? As soon as I posted that, she had a change of heart and refuses all things caterpillar now. I have tried so very hard to turn her around but she has left the Very Hungry Caterpillar for a new love.... Dora. And as much as I cringe at this, it is her favorite thing right now, and because I love her so dearly, I will consent to all things Dora. That means Boots, the Map, Swiper, Backpack. I'm trying to think outside the box and not have everything as licensed Dora.... maybe a fiesta? A salsa bar? Pin the backpack on Dora? It helps on available decor to think that her birthday is the same weekend as Cinco de Mayo!
Back to Pinterest..... so naturally I go there for ideas, and I've already started a Dora Party board. I'm

I have used Paperback Swap for a couple of years and LOVE IT. I read alot!! Pinterest is great. I have checked it before my email many of times! I love your new sewing room!I like your cutting table and the curtains are so cheery! =) Oh don't forget a pinata for her Dora party!!!

ReplyDeleteAllison is very into Dora as well. I tell swiper "no swiping" a lot and we get a lot of giggles. I haven't decided anything for her birthday in June, but if she's still into Dora, perhaps she'll have that as a theme. Currently, we're still hoping to be in FL in June (depending on Tony's job). Time will tell. .....I've enjoyed your posts too!
