Craftaholics Anonymous Handmade Gift Exchange - The Gift I Sent!

I was so excited to participate with Craftaholics Anonymous' Handmade Gift Exchange this month!  It's my first time to be a part of this fun experience, and I'll definitely be doing it again in November.  If you'd like to participate in November, you can sign up for an email reminder here.

The gift exchange is simple- it's hosted through Elfster, which is a website that works like a Secret Santa.  Gifts must be handmade, but can be made using any form of craft.... basically if you can sell it on Etsy, you're good to go!  The person to which I mail a gift is not necessarily the one who mails a gift to me.  It keeps the gifter anonymous, and allows the giftee to create a wishlist of items they love.  I quickly learned that my giftee loved owls, which prompted me to dig out this fat quarter and sew some items.  Yes, this entire gift was made from one fat quarter and other supplies I had on hand in my sewing room.

Here's a breakdown of what I made:
A fabric box for jewelry, keys, cell phone, etc. using the tutorial found here.

A sleepytime eye mask made with the tutorial found here.

A fabric keychain made from this tutorial.

My gift is being mailed out across the country tomorrow, and I can't wait to hear my giftee's response..... I hope she loves it!  Once I receive my gift in the mail, I'll post about that, too!

Many thanks once again to Craftaholics Anonymous for hosting this fun exchange.
