Also during this time I met the love of my life, who is now my husband. He was born and raised in Central Florida, where we now live. The first four years of our marriage were spent in three different states throughout the southeast and mid-west. Now we are making our home with two children in the Sunshine State! We desire to raise Godly children, and leave a heritage of faithfulness. Although this will not be a theological blog, many of my crafts and projects reflect my faith in Christ.
Though working part-time as a nurse and being a mother to two youngsters keeps me busy, I find creating things as a relaxing way to spend small portions of time. I love to sew, hot glue, play with paper, bake and read. This blog exists to showcase some of my favorite things to the world.
Not all of the posts on this site are my original ideas, however, they are my original creations and photos. Please do not copy my photos without asking permission first. If I have found the idea via another site, I will gladly link to the original post to give the author credit.
"And the angel said unto them,
Be not afraid; for behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy
which shall be to all the people."
Luke 2:10
When I first began creating back in 2006, I chose the name Gabriel's Good Tidings (GGT) for my handmade items for many reasons. My last name is Gabriel, and, since I have married into this name, have loved things in Scripture which were spoken by the angels, particularly the Angel Gabriel. Also, I loved the idea of sending a "good tiding", which literally means "good news", or "good information". My prayer is that my handmade items, as well as this blog, will be a "good tiding" to you.
This blog exists as my online journal to share my sewing creations with family and friends. Occasionally I will post an article with affiliate links which closely relate to the content of this blog. While I may earn a small amount by referring others to a business, the compensation is minimal and I'm certainly not getting rich from any one post.
