Ruffle Butt Onesie + upcoming football season = Florida Gator Ruffle Onesie
I had this white onesie in the top of my sewing closet. I dyed it orange with Rit dye (using the stovetop method, because I didn't want my washer to become orange!) and sewed on the ruffles, which are royal blue jersey knit. I used to always be afraid of jersey knit, but then I realized that it doesn't fray and requires no hemming- like felt or fleece! So, that was a major motivation for me to work with it- and you know what? It wasn't that hard!
