Tonight I created these bags for my friend, Bethany, who is one of the most inspiring people I know. She has an amazing knowledge of organic foods and products, and stands her ground when it comes to feeding her family well. She is a joyful person, even on the worst of days. Most of all, she loves Christ with all her heart, and His glory is reflected through her life.

This is a set of four bags.
I used the tutorial found here. Two have gussets (which make them stand alone), two do not. They are lined with osnaburg, which is like a softer version of duckcloth and burlap. They have a velcro closure.

Would you like to win a set of these bags? I am hoping to do a big giveaway soon, so stay tuned for multiple (yes, multiple) chances to win!
Enjoy your snack bags, Bethany! They were so much fun to make!
Very interesting. I have never heard of anything like this.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute, Amy. We're back in the land of washing and re-using our ziplocs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy!! I can't wait to try them out!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, Thanks for sharing, can't wait to make some.
ReplyDeleteThey worked great for John Mark and Amelias animal cookies yesterday!! No muss,no fuss!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Thanks for linking it up to A Handmade Christmas! I love things that can be reused.
ReplyDeleteI've not done a lot of sewing; how is the pattern different for the gusseted one?
ReplyDeleteAnon, the pattern for the guesseted one isn't on the original tutorial I linked to... I made the gussets on my own. Just google "how to make gussets" and you will find some very easy instructions. They are so simple to make! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post! I've seen these around, and wanted to learn how to make them!
ReplyDeleteI found you through the Homemaking Link-Up and I'm now your newest follower!

I absolutely adore reusable sandwhich/snack bags. I got some a while back, but wish I had more. I may have to attempt to make some one day soon, not sure how that would turn out though.
