Journal Covers with Felt Flowers
This past weekend I had the incredible privilege of donating handmade journal covers to the Women's Retreat at my church. I made five covers that were given away as door prizes to different women.
I searched around on Pinterest for basic journal cover patterns and found none that I loved. So, I actually made my own pattern for these. This is one of the first times that I have had an idea and completely orchestrated it without the help of Pinterest or Google. It's a good feeling.
The journal covers open to hold a composition book, which can be removed and replaced when full.
A snap closure keeps it safe and sealed.
I added a felt flower to each journal just for fun, and as a treat to the incredible ladies at church. It's just clipped on, so it's easily removed from the journal and added to a shirt, purse, or in your hair!
All of the felt flowers can be found on this pinboard of mine.
So, what do you say? Anyone want the tutorial for these journal covers? It's super easy, I promise! I also have one extra and was thinking about doing a giveaway next week. Anyone up for that?

Very cute. Love the pink one!
ReplyDeleteYes, please to the tutorial. I covered some ready made books with patchy success. So would love to see your version :-)
