Teacup Birthday Gift

I made a birthday gift for my husband's grandmother, Mimi, tonight-- a set of two fabric boxes and two hanging dishtowels.

These fabric boxes are a quick and easy project and an easy way to use up scraps.

The hanging dishtowels are also a great project for beginners.  I use flour sacks instead of teri-cloth towels and use snaps instead of buttons.

This is one of those projects that I always enjoy making- it's quick, easy and I can usually make it from what's already in my stash!  I just love projects like that, don't you?

Happy Bithday, Mimi!

  3. I love working with flour sacks. They are absorbent, but not bulky. They also do not have to be ironed (something I HATE to do!). Let me know how yours turn out, Suzee!
