Kitchen White Board (AKA Recovering from a Craft Fail!)

Remember when I made the chicken wire frame?  Well, it has been nothing but a headache for us!  It scratches my wall, falls of the wall continually, and it's incredibly difficult to keep photos clipped to the chicken wire.

I knew it was time to revamp this project.

I removed the chicken wire and put the glass back in the frame.  Then I put a piece of fabric between the glass and the cardboard backing and made my very own dry erase board!

While the fabric I had on hand is a bit busy, I do like how it basically serves as artwork and my scribbles (grocery list, menu plan, or other reminders) are not visible without a close look.  And, should I choose to change it later, it would be a simple switch.  I could even change it out for the holidays if I wanted!

Whew.  Much better.  Nice recovery, you think?

  1. I did the same only using a 12x12 frame from Michael's, meant to showcase an album cover or scrapbook page, and scrapbooking paper. SOOOO easy and easy to change out too!
    Looking good!
